Management professor Patricio Duran was awarded the Best Entrepreneurship in Family Business Paper at the International Family Enterprise Research Academy (IFERA) Annual Conference for his research, "Publicly-listed family-controlled firms and corporate venture capital."

An article by Abdullah Kumas, “Information Leakage Around SEC Comment Letters,” with Marshall Geiger, Bret Johnson, and Keith Jones, was published in Management Science in November 2022. Kumas is an associate professor of accounting.

Dale Fickett, instructor of entrepreneurship, secured funding from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation for his work on "Community-Engaged Research to Advance Equity and Inclusion." The grant of over $290,000 will be used in collaboration with Virginia Commonwealth University to advance this effort.

An article by Steve Tallman, "Global Strategy Collections: Multinationality and Performance," was published electronically in Global Strategy Journal, an ABS 4 journal. Tallman is a professor of management. 

Shital Thekdi, associate professor of analytics and operations, was awarded the Best Paper 2022 by The Society for Risk Analysis for her publication, "Managing Physical and Economic Risk for Systems with Multidirectional Network Interdependencies."
