UR alumnus David Blanchard began roasting coffee as a hobby just after graduating in 2002 and launched an unofficial coffee-of-the-month club a year later. In 2005, he formed Blanchard’s Coffee, initially selling products as a wholesaler and online retailer across the mid-Atlantic region.
