A Message from Dean Mickey QuiƱones

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Robins School of Business, a highly-ranked business school that provides comprehensive and rigorous educational programs at the undergraduate, MBA, and executive levels.

We are a tight-knit community of thinkers and doers who see the current business environment not as a challenge to be managed, but as an opportunity for exploration and transformation. Our world-class faculty provide our students with the very best intellectual capital in business schools today, representing the full spectrum of knowledge, from launching an entrepreneurial venture to running a global business. Their unwavering commitment to the teacher-scholar model means that our students are learning about the latest thought-leadership in fundamental and contemporary business issues directly from those generating that knowledge. Complemented by a highly skilled and dedicated staff, the Robins School provides our students unparalleled opportunities to fully develop their business acumen and succeed in an increasingly turbulent and competitive business environment.

At a time when some question the value of a liberal arts education, we are unabashed about the unique strengths that our foundation in a highly ranked liberal arts university provides our students. The liberal arts develop a deep understanding of the environmental, political, social, and technological changes that are exerting an increasing influence on organizations today, while the analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills learned in the business school position our graduates for career success. Our students begin their professional lives with the intellectual breadth and depth required to lead their organizations through complex challenges into the future.

Our students are shaped by a comprehensive and stimulating curriculum that also includes a wide array of experiential opportunities. Small class sizes allow for a supportive, highly interactive and engaging learning environment. Most of our students participate in a global experience with one of 54 partners schools across the world, including full-semester and summer study-abroad opportunities that develop a broader understanding of our interconnected business environment. Case competitions, consulting projects, and internships give our students the opportunity to apply their business skills and gain real-world experience.

The Robins School is part of a broader web of Spider alumni, supporters, community, and corporate partners equally committed to ensuring that we remain a model for contemporary business education. We would be thrilled to have you join us in this effort. You belong here.

Sincerely,

Dr. Miguel “Mickey” Quiñones
