About the Professional Selling Program

The Professional Selling Program, part of the Marketing Department, enables students with a strong set of ‘life skills’ that can be applied in finance, accounting, consulting, and a variety of other career pursuits. By prioritizing deeper student engagement and development, selling skills open doors to rewarding careers while expanding opportunities for internships, scholarships, and real-world experience in the art of selling.

Why does this matter?

Half of college graduates—and nearly 90% of marketing majors—launch their careers in sales. It’s where they sharpen communication, learn about a company inside and out, and earn well from the start.

Over the past decade, the Robins School's Marketing Department has offered innovative and evolving professional selling and advanced selling courses, blending real-world tools, role-plays, and competitions that equip graduates with critical thinking, empathy, and the skills to deliver customer-focused solutions.

The program leads with innovative and applied business education, directly aligning with AACSB’s priorities in experiential learning, lifelong growth, and societal impact. Research shows graduates of sales programs ramp up faster, stay longer, and drive early value—making professional selling a cornerstone of modern business success.
