Dana Lascu

Dr. Lascu is Professor of Marketing at University of Richmond. She has a Ph.D. in marketing from the University of South Carolina, a Master of International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a B.A. in English and French from University of Arizona. At the University of Richmond, she served as Department Chair for 12 years and has been active on numerous committees, such as Tenure & Promotion, Strategic Planning, Faculty Development, Institutional Review Board, and many others. She has published more than 100 professional and academic manuscripts in, among others, journals such as International Business Review, Journal of Business Research, International Marketing Review, European Journal of Marketing, and Journal of Global Marketing, and authored several editions of two textbooks, International Marketing 8e (2025) and Marketing: Essentials 8e (2024). She is associate editor for the Journal of Global Marketing, Regional Editor for the Journal of Global Business and Technology, and serves on the review board of several other journals. She chaired international conferences all over the world (Austria, Bermuda, Kenya, Hungary, Romania, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam, among others), has served as Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Austria and as a Fulbright Specialist in Mongolia, and as a consultant for companies such as Ford Motor Company, IDV North America, Aquasource North America, Stihl, Yellow Book USA, and others. Dr. Lascu is a Fellow of the Academy of Global Business Advancement and has received, among other awards, the Outstanding Faculty Award of the State Council for Higher Education of Virginia (SCHEV), the University of Richmond Distinguished Educator Award and Scholarly Activity Award, and an honorary doctorate from Ider University, Mongolia.
