Alexander Persaud is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 2017. His research covers international migration in both contemporary and historical settings. He received the Best New Researcher Prize from the Economic History Society (2017) and the Arthur H. Cole Award for best article in The Journal of Economic History (2019). He teaches development economics and statistics.
