Sebastian Laumer is an empirical macroeconomist. Before joining the University of Richmond, he taught at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Illinois. He also holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Economics from the University of Hamburg, Germany. His research focuses on monetary economics, fiscal policy, Bayesian and time series econometrics, and supply chain disruptions, with publications in the European Economic Review, the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, and the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control. At Richmond, he teaches courses in Macroeconomic Theory and Principles of Macroeconomics.
