Article Accepted by Journal of Organizational Behavior
Alex Hamrick, assistant professor of management, and Olivia Aronson and Marina Astakhova, associate professors of management, published an article, "Rethinking the Anatomy of Passion: A Biopsychosocial Configurational Perspective on Antecedents of Work and Entrepreneurial Passion," which was accepted by the Journal of Organizational Behavior.
Professor Named Ewha Global Fellow
Yumin Hong, assistant professor of economics, was selected as an Ewah Global Fellow for 2027-29 at Ewha Womans University. The Ewha Global Fellow program encourages distinguished scholars from around the world to collaborate with Ewha faculty members on research and education.
Professor Awarded Honorable Mention
Tom Zylkin, associate professor of economics, received an honorable mention for the best paper award from Econometric Reviews for his paper “Verifying the existence of maximum likelihood estimates for generalized linear models."

Marshall Geiger, professor of accounting and CSX Chair in Management and Accounting, published "Going Concern" in the Routledge Handbook of Auditing, part of the Routledge International Handbooks series for researchers.

Nancy Bagranoff, professor of accounting, published Cybersecurity for Accounting and Business with co-author Scott R. Boss, which explicates the cybersecurity concepts that students will need to be familiar with in their business careers.

Nancy Bagranoff Sentara Health Board of Directors

Accounting professor Nancy Bagranoff has been named to Sentara Health's Board of Directors. Sentara Health is an integrated, not-for-profit health care delivery system, and is one of the largest health systems in the U.S. Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, and among the top 20 largest not-for-profit integrated health systems in the country.

Amy McCracken Named to Virginia Business' 2025 Women in Leadership
Amy McCracken, associate dean for graduate programs, was named one of Virginia Business' 2025 Women in Leadership honorees. These awards celebrate top women executives for their overall professional accomplishments, civic engagement, mentorship, and breaking glass ceilings.

Professor Chairs the CEMA 2025 Scientific Committee
Michel Robe, professor of finance, chaired the CEMA 2025 Scientific Committee held at the Rice School of Business. Robe developed the conference's academic program and presented research on risk premia in agriculture futures markets. Other faculty presentations included Deniz Besik, Art Durnev, and Nancy Tran.

Art Durnev, distinguished chair in finance, published Modern Money Mechanics, a textbook covering topics from traditional finance fundamentals to modern innovations including investments, cryptocurrency, and NFT valuation.
