Robins Professional Readiness Opportunities (PRO)

Build the Skills Employers Value Most

Success in business requires more than technical knowledge. It takes confidence, communication, and the ability to build meaningful professional relationships. The Robins PRO Conference is designed to help you develop those skills early in your college experience.

As part of the Robins PRO (Professional Readiness Opportunities) initiative, every Robins School undergraduate business student participates in this immersive professional development experience. Integrated into the required BUAD 205: Business Communications course, the conference combines hands-on learning, employer engagement, and career exploration to prepare you for internships, leadership opportunities, and your future career.

Building on the foundation of the former Q-camp program, Robins PRO offers a comprehensive, curriculum-integrated experience that ensures every student develops the professional competencies employers expect.

What to Expect

The Robins PRO Conference is an interactive, day-long experience where you'll learn from alumni, corporate partners, career professionals, and business leaders while practicing essential workplace skills.

Each semester:

  • Two conference sessions are offered to accommodate student schedules.
  • Conference participation is a required component of BUAD 205 and contributes to the course grade.
  • Programming is led by the Center for Professional Skills & Development in collaboration with alumni, employers, faculty, and career professionals.

Develop Career-Ready Skills

Throughout the conference, you'll gain practical experience that prepares you for internships, interviews, and the workplace. You'll learn how to:

  • Build meaningful professional relationships through networking.
  • Strengthen your interviewing and communication skills.
  • Increase your confidence in professional settings.
  • Understand the competencies employers seek in today's graduates.
  • Explore career paths and refine your professional goals.
  • Develop emotional intelligence and workplace professionalism.
  • Create an action plan for continued career development.

Rather than simply hearing about professional success, you'll practice it. Through mock interviews, networking exercises, small-group discussions, and conversations with alumni and employers, you'll receive immediate feedback and leave with skills you can apply right away.

Whether you're preparing for your first internship or beginning to think about long-term career goals, the Robins PRO Conference provides the foundation for professional success—and is just the beginning of your Robins PRO journey.
