    M. Saif Mehkari is a macroeconomist specializing in Fiscal Policy and Business Cycles. He earned his Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from The Ohio State University and his B.A. (with majors in Economics, Computer Science, and Mathematics) from the Ohio Wesleyan University. His current research focuses on understanding the effects of fiscal policy on economic aggregates such as consumption, employment, educational expenditure, etc. He has published research in the Journal of Economic Theory, the European Economics Review, and the Review of Economic Dynamics, among others. He currently teaches courses in Principles of Microeconomics (ECON 101), Principles of Macroeconomics (ECON 102), Data Analysis & Computing for Economics (ECON 242), and Mathematical Economics (ECON 341). In the past, he has also taught Macroeconomics Theory (ECON 272) and Advanced Macroeconomics (ECON 372). He currently holds the Paul Clikeman Teaching Fellowships and, in addition, coordinates both Endeavor RSB (a first-year living and learning community) and the Mathematical Economics major.
