Partnership Continues to Support CEO Development

As the academic partner to the Virginia Council of CEOs (VACEOs), the Robins School of Business provides a unique educational opportunity for VACEOs members as well as eligible executive leaders from the greater Richmond business community. The CEO Essentials program is specifically designed for CEOs and senior leaders from small and mid-sized organizations and allows participants to engage with experts and peers to address the most pressing business challenges.

“The small business CEOs I work with really appreciate the way the Robins School has crafted CEO Essentials to meet them where they are – in the trenches of growing businesses,” says Scot McRoberts, executive director of VACEOs. “The faculty leaves the Fortune 500 case studies at the office and teaches practical strategies, skills and tools for becoming more successful CEOs and business owners.”

Now accepting registrations for its third CEO cohort, the CEO Essentials program has been revamped to include new sessions based on feedback from previous years and the VACEOs leadership. The program will continue to offer the foundational sessions on strategy, finance, talent development, and conflict management. New this fall, the program will include classes in change leadership, negotiations, customer centricity, and digital marketing. All of the classes in this program are taught by faculty who teach in the Richmond MBA and/or Executive Education programs.

Registration is now open for the next CEO Essentials program starting on October 1. Class size is limited, so don’t delay in reserving your seat.
