Robins School of Business
1 Gateway Road
University of Richmond, VA 23173
Lewis A. Litteral, Ph.D.
Principle I of the Richmond Promise states: "The University will have an academic enterprise that will be connected, innovative, rigorous, and personal, ensuring student success and fostering faculty growth." The first goal associated with this principle is to "Capitalize on interdisciplinary and cross-school connections to provide students a distinctive education."
The Innovation & Entrepreneurship Program (IEP) at the University of Richmond offers an interdisciplinary academic program, and other events and activities to enhance experiential learning for its students.
The academic program, currently administered as a track in the Management Department, includes relevant courses from Business disciplines and Arts and Sciences, Leadership Studies and Law. The Entrepreneurship Club attracts a large number of students from across campus. The club engages in a variety of activities to help students engage with successful entrepreneurs and learn how to combine resources to create new value. As an example, the Entrepreneurship Club co-sponsors the annual Business Pitch Competition.
A track designation is merely a suggested sequence of courses to prepare students for a particular career path, does not confer a Management concentration, does not confer a Business degree, and does not appear on a University of Richmond transcript.
